I came here last time I was in NY, and I thought it was pretty good. The crack pie was not at all my favorite. But I fell in love with the marshmallow cornflake cookies. The compost cookies were just okay. This time, I went back and what did I find? No cornflake cookie!!! And the line was so long it went into the restaurant connecting part! Ugh, I don’t think I will be going back. This time I didn’t have a very good time. I tried a lot more stuff and I wasn’t pleased with what I got.
The blueberry cream cookie was squishy and didn’t taste like anything. Just a big blob of butter. The peanut butter cookie was disgusting. The cookies are already bagged in plastic bags and ugh, just thinking about it makes me shudder. It was so gross; the oil/butter had leeched out of the cookie into the bag! It seemed as if someone just poured oil into a bag containing a bland cookie. I just couldn't bring myself to eat it! The compost cookie was actually okay. I would’ve liked more pretzel/add-in stuff, but I thought it was a lot better than the other cookies. Oh, this time I also tried the peach tea soft serve and the cereal milk soft serve (both 5$!!!!!). The tea one was just okay. The cereal milk stuff was just disgusting. It tasted like I was eating spoiled soured milk. My brother was really really hungry, so we ordered the pork buns. Bad idea. It was mostly fat, and for just two buns it was 9 dollars. 4.50 each! Totally not worth it. Everything was expensive, and it wasn’t even tasty!

Nasty pork buns (sorry for the bad picture)
Tea milk
Best review ever bc it was so honest. I found the cookie recipes equally disappointing.
ReplyDeleteThe bagged cookies must be a new development. When I went, they were all just set out under glass and were served in a paper bag.
ReplyDeleteLoving your site! I live in NYC and have yet to even visit Momofuku. I know, I'm a bad New Yorker.
ReplyDeleteSweetie: I'm glad you found my reviews to be honest. I try my best!
ReplyDeleteAnna: Yea, last time I went they were in paper bags so I'm pretty sure they're new.
lifesabatch: Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Nah, you're not a bad New Yorker. :)
